Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities at the construction site to ensure compliance with statutory regulations, client requirements, and organizational standards. The role aims to achieve a zero-harm workplace and promote a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific EHS plans, procedures, and policies.
Ensure compliance with applicable safety laws, standards, and contract requirements.
Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) for all activities.
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices across the site.
Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting, working at height, confined space, excavation, etc.
Maintain all statutory registers, permits, and licenses.
Conduct safety induction for all new employees and workers.
Organize regular toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness campaigns.
Report, investigate, and analyze accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain incident records and submit reports to management
Conduct mock drills (fire, evacuation, rescue operations).
Ensure availability and maintenance of emergency equipment.
Maintain EHS records, reports, and documentation.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
