Senior Analyst Disaster recovery Specialist supports the planning, testing, and continuous improvement of disaster recovery capabilities across technology environments. This role helps strengthen organizational resilience by partnering with IT Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Business Continuity stakeholders to prepare for and respond to disruption events. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with disaster recovery processes, testing coordination, documentation, and audit support in a complex enterprise environment.
Work you'll do
As a Senior Analyst Disaster recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Develop, maintain, and enhance disaster recovery strategies, plans, and technical recovery procedures for critical systems and applications
Conduct business impact analyses and risk assessments to identify dependencies, recovery priorities, recovery time objectives, and recovery point objectives
Coordinate and execute disaster recovery testing activities, including tabletop exercises, simulations, and failover tests, and document results and improvement actions
Partner with IT Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, Business Continuity, and third-party vendors to align disaster recovery readiness and recovery capabilities
Support disaster recovery activations, post-incident reviews, audit requests, and remediation of gaps in backup and recovery processes

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
3+ years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, information technology security, or information technology infrastructure roles
Experience developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans, recovery procedures, and supporting documentation
Experience conducting business impact analyses, risk assessments, and recovery planning activities
Experience coordinating and executing disaster recovery testing exercises, including tabletop simulations or failover tests
Experience with backup, failover, or recovery technologies such as Veeam, Azure Site Recovery, Amazon Web Services Backup, or Zerto
Preferred:
Experience with cloud-based disaster recovery strategies in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
Experience supporting compliance, control, or audit activities aligned to ISO 22301, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST 800-34
Experience with ServiceNow Business Continuity, Integrated Risk Management, or Governance, Risk, and Compliance modules
Experience with automation or scripting using PowerShell or Python
One or more certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Information Technology Infrastructure Library, or Disaster Recovery Institute International certification
