Job Summary:
A DevOps Engineer is a seasoned professional who embodies the fusion of software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops), playing a pivotal role in the continuous delivery and lifecycle management of software applications. They play a crucial role in automating and streamlining the software development lifecycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates. By fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams, they ensure that systems are reliable, scalable, and can support continuous integration and delivery.
What a Day in The Life Looks Like:
Automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Conducting system performance analysis and optimization
Work with our development teams to build an understanding of DevOps principles.
Proactively seek assistance as required to complete work in a reasonable amount of time.
Actively participate in the Agile process, such as daily huddles, estimating, code reviews, and retrospectives.
What You Bring to the Team
Experience building new CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps.
Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Docker, or equivalent technologies
Proficient in shell scripting to automate tasks
Strong understanding of microservice architectures and technologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, or related field) or equivalent work experience
Medium level of experience (5+ years) in software development.
