In this role, you will plan and execute vehicle-level structural durability test activities as per test plans developed in collaboration with key internal stakeholders and external vendors/suppliers.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Should look into the closures system of the vehicle (Hood, Door, Decklid/Tailgate)
Support Vehicle programs through the entire life cycle including design, prototype builds part validation, DVP, BOM management, and releases.
Evaluate different concepts of hinges, and latches, and check arms for achieving the best combination of durability, assembly, cost, and weight.
Work closely with stakeholders and attribute owners across the company (Vehicle safety, NVH, durability, production, interior, and exterior trims)
Work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers using creativity and teamwork to integrate multiple systems in the most efficient way possible.
Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities for your designs.
Must have hands-on experience with- Hinges, Latches, and check arms.
Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience
Good knowledge of CLOSURES Design of structural components (e.g., Door Panels / Body Side Panel /Axis design)
Proficient in CATIA, Solidworks, and UGNX.
Must have relevant experience in Master Sections, packaging, Concept creation, and assembly processes of various. parts.
Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R).
Should have knowledge of DFMEA and GD&T documentation.
Interact with the CAE team and interpret results to meet all Regulatory, Safety, NVH, Deflection, and Fatigue requirements.
Knowledge of composite material and manufacturing processes.
