Biometric System Management
• Administration & Maintenance: Oversee the daily operation, administration, and maintenance of all biometric time and attendance/access control/canteen punching systems.
• User Management: Manage user enrollment, access permissions, and data integrity within the biometric databases.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to biometric scanners, controllers, and associated networking.
• Security: Ensure the security and privacy of all biometric data in compliance with company policy and regulations.
Server and Backup Management
• Backup Operations: Execute daily, weekly, and monthly backup routines and regularly test restoration procedures to ensure data recoverability.
• Monitoring: Proactively monitor server health, performance, storage capacity, and security logs.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of the server environment, configurations, and backup schedules.
Quality Control (QC) Instrument Management
• System Integration: Manage the integration and communication between QC instruments (e.g., spectrophotometers, chromatographs, etc.)
• Maintenance & Support: Coordinate with vendors or internal teams for the routine maintenance, qualification of QC servers, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Data Integrity: Ensure the secure storage and integrity of data generated by QC instruments.
• Troubleshooting: Address IT-related issues with QC instrument interfaces, software, and connectivity.
Hardware Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance
• Deployment: Plan, install, configure, and maintain server hardware, network components, workstations, and peripherals.
• Operating Systems: Install and configure server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server) and apply necessary patches and updates.
• Asset Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT and QC-related hardware assets.
• Repair/Upgrade: Perform routine hardware repairs, component replacements, and system upgrades as needed.
IT Asset & Scrap Management
• IT Asset Disposal & Scrap Management: Develop and enforce a secure and compliant process for IT scrap management and disposal of obsolete hardware (e.g., hard drives, servers, and computers). Ensure all sensitive data is securely wiped or destroyed in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including servers, networking gear, biometric devices, and peripherals.
Procurement and Budget
• Capital Expenditure (Capex) Raising: Raise request of Capex for new IT infrastructure projects, hardware upgrades, and system improvements.
• Procurement Request Management: Generate and submit Purchase Requisitions (PR) and/or Service Requests (SR) for all IT hardware, software, licenses, and service requirements.
• Vendor and Follow-Up Management: Act as the primary technical liaison with the Purchasing/Procurement Department; track and follow up on all open PRs/SRs and vendor deliveries to ensure timely acquisition of required IT resources.
