Job Title Assistant Manager – Supply Chain (Demand Planning & Inventory Management) Job Overview The Assistant Manager – Supply Chain is responsible for end-to-end demand planning, inventory management, and ensuring product availability across all Salad Days kitchens. The role involves analyzing sales trends, forecasting demand, optimizing inventory levels, and minimizing wastage. This position works closely with SCM leadership, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure seamless planning, timely replenishments, and support for business growth. The role also involves building reporting dashboards, improving planning accuracy, and identifying opportunities for supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities Develop accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales, trends, seasonality, and promotions. Monitor and optimize inventory levels across all kitchens to ensure product availability while minimizing wastage and stock-outs. Plan replenishment cycles and coordinate with procurement, vendors, and logistics to ensure timely stock movement. Build and maintain daily/weekly/monthly planning reports and dashboards for visibility into forecasts, inventory health, and consumption patterns. Identify gaps between forecasted and actual consumption and take corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy. Work closely with Operations to understand menu changes, capacity constraints, and volume spikes to adjust planning accordingly. Partner with Sales teams to incorporate demand swings, new product launches, and marketing promotions into planning models. Conduct root cause analysis for inventory issues (overstock, shortages, wastage, variances) and implement preventive measures. Support development and enforcement of supply chain SOPs, ensuring consistency and operational excellence across locations. Participate in supply chain improvement projects focusing on automation, process enhancements, and cost optimization. Requirements Minimum 24 months of experience in supply chain, demand planning, inventory management, or related domains. Graduate/Diploma holder (diploma after 12th acceptable). Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with forecasting tools or ERP systems is a plus. Deep understanding of demand planning principles, inventory control, consumption analysis, and supply chain operations. Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with SCM, Operations, and Sales teams. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to manage planning cycles independently and handle operational escalations.
