our delivery excellence, bridging the gap between complex technical solutioning and
strategic business growth.
Role Overview
The Delivery Manager at Rootquotient owns multi-project account delivery across various
client portfolios. DMs drive organizational delivery excellence, establish standards, and
optimize resources. This role requires sophisticated planning, strategic thinking, and deep
client partnership. You are accountable for client account growth, delivery health, and
ensuring high levels of client and employee satisfaction through optimized delivery
frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Account Strategy & Planning
● Strategic Roadmap: Develop account delivery strategies aligned with client
business goals and company objectives.
● Advisory: Understand the client’s business domain, products, and users to make
proactive recommendations to the product roadmap.
● Account Sequencing: Create account roadmaps with clear sequencing and
dependency mapping to optimize strategic value.
2. Multi-Project Account Execution & Governance
● End-to-End Delivery: Own the execution of multiple projects within the portfolio,
ensuring consistent quality and alignment with the client’s vision.
● Framework Establishment: Define and implement account governance frameworks
and decision-making structures.
● Process Discipline: Ensure rigorous process adherence and quality checks are
maintained across all project management activities.
● Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and evaluate new
methodologies to enhance delivery velocity.
3. Resource & Financial Leadership
● Profitability Management: Manage account budgets, forecast costs, and implement
value engineering to ensure healthy account margin and highest billability.
● Resource Planning: Plan resource needs with project managers across client
accounts based on their avaialbility and manage constraints to ensure the
highest-value initiatives are prioritized in the allocation to reflect the billability &
margins within the portfolio.
● Value Demonstration: Work closely with stakeholders to demonstrate the ROI and
value provided by the delivery teams.
4. Solution Oversight
● Delivery ownership: Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical
implementation by understanding technical solutioning provided by the Engineering
Lead and work out the delivery plan that aligns with client interest and derive/finalize
the project plan with project managers & tech leads to meet the delivery.
● Dependency Management: Identify and mitigate complex cross-project technical
risks and enterprise-level dependencies.
● Modern Methodologies: Manage scaled agile environments, coordinating release
planning and agile ceremonies across multiple teams.
5. Team Leadership & Talent Development
● Mentorship & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers
within the portfolio, fostering their professional growth and advancement. A shift from
"Command and Control" to "Enablement." You must demonstrate how you unblock
teams rather than just tracking them.
● Capability Building: Establish team performance standards and build institutional
delivery capabilities.
● Culture Advocacy: Ensure team satisfaction and growth within a challenging,
high-performance organizational culture.
● Change Management: Experience in leading teams through organizational shifts or
pivots in product strategy.
6. Stakeholder & Communication
● Strategic Partnership: Build and maintain deep relationships with client leadership
and executive stakeholders.
● Conflict Resolution & Negotiation: Proven ability to handle "difficult" stakeholders
during escalation and negotiate scope/timelines without damaging the client
partnership.
● Reporting: Provide transparent, high-level status reporting to internal executives and
client boards.
● Growth Identification: Proactively identify and unlock new opportunities for account
expansion and strategic partnership.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
● Experience Profile A: 10+ years of Project & Delivery Management experience, with
a primary focus on 0-to-1 digital product development (enhancements and
maintenance experience is secondary).
● OR Experience Profile B: Minimum 5-7 years as a Project/Delivery Management
experience plus 3-5+ years in a functional or technical role within Software/Product
development.
● Methodology: Expertise and implementation of Hybrid Agile, Kanban, or Scaled
Agile (SAFe) frameworks into Project management methodology.
● Portfolio handling: Ability to handle minimum of 3-5 projects based on size (timeline &
cost) with team count of 20+ members of different cross functions.
● Tools: Expert in usage of Project management tools like Azure Dev Ops, JIRA or
similar tools
● Technical Insight: Ability to understand technical architecture and solutioning (JS,
Java, Mobile technologies) to derive accurate and robust delivery plans.
● P&L Management: Good understanding of the financial & client account dynamics to
achieve the expected targets of revenue forecast & margin within portfolio as a
whole.
● Project management excellence: Managed Project managers (atleast 2) under
them for day-to-day project execution works would be added bonus.
Education & Certifications:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology. An MBA from a
reputable institution is good to have (preferred).
● Industry Standards: Good to have Project Management certifications such as PMP,
Prince2, CSM, or SAFe
