Job Description for Database Administration I: Accountable For:   Responsible for providing support for operational database services to the organization. Owns, tracks, and resolves database related events, issues, incidents and coordinate with respective application and infra owners. Supports 24x7 operations in rotating shifts, resolves incidents within SLAs Reviews service-related reports (database backups, maintenance, monitoring) daily to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs Responding to investigate database related alerts and escalations and working with others within the organization to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems.     REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration and support in Oracle versions 12c through 19c. Knowledge needed on setting up, monitoring and troubleshooting Oracle Golden Gate. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc. Ability to detect and troubleshoot potential database related issues and constraints (CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, etc.). Knowledge on Oracle Performance Tuning. Documentation skills for processes and procedures (creating Knowledge Transfer documents, run-books, topology etc.) Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast-paced and demanding. Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy and with the ability to deliver on time. Ability to be on call production support on a rotation basis. Experience in MYSQL , MS SQL are desired. Experience in Cloud desired. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
