Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain ETL jobs using Talend Data Integration suite for batch and real-time data processing.
2. Write and optimize complex SQL scripts, queries, and analytical functions for data transformation and validation.
3. Recreate, enhance, and troubleshoot stored procedures, functions, and packages in Oracle and Vertica environments.
4. Perform impact analysis and data lineage tracking for changes in source systems and downstream dependencies.
5. Migrate legacy ETL workflows and SQL logic to Talend-based frameworks.
6. Implement data quality and data profiling checks to ensure reliability and accuracy of ingested data.
7. Support data reconciliation and validation efforts between source and target systems.
8. Collaborate with DBAs and infrastructure teams to optimize data storage, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
9. To participate in code reviews, version control, and deployment automation for ETL scripts and database code.
10. Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues and support root cause analysis.
Education and Certifications:
· Mandatory – Bachelor's degree (B.Tech /B.E.)
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
· Proficient in using Talend ETL suite for data integration and transformation.
· Deep working knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases.
· Exposure to Vertica as a data warehouse solution.
· Expertise in SQL query development for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
· Solid understanding of designing and maintaining stored procedures across multiple RDBMS.
· Knowledge of data security, integration, and interoperability best practices in data engineering.
· Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including OLAP and data cubes.
· Experience with metadata management and implementing data quality frameworks.
· Programming skills in Python, SQL, or Java for building data workflows and automation scripts.
