We are dedicated to creating a significant impact for our employees by fostering a culture that sparks innovation and supports professional and personal growth along the way.</p></div><h3>Overview of Role</h3> <p>66degrees is looking for smart, energetic, and personable technology business professionals for a Data Engineer position.&nbsp; As a Cloud Data Engineer you will be a part of data management and engineering projects within AWS environments, including migrating, analyzing, and managing data structures within AWS. Assist in the design, definition, development, and testing of AWS data solution components. Capable of quickly adapting and building plans around migrating data from legacy applications, you will work closely with the AWS Security Team and other SME roles to ensure datastores are protected.&nbsp;</p> <h3>Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Lead data management and engineering projects within AWS environments, including migrating, analyzing, and managing data structures, as well as designing, developing, testing, and implementing AWS data solutions, with a focus on Snowflake cloud data warehousing.</li> <li>Design, implement, and optimize data warehousing solutions using Snowflake, leveraging key features like Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Snowpipe.</li> <li>Guide customers on all aspects of data handling on AWS, including ingestion, storage (S3), processing (Glue, EMR), analysis, and visualization.</li> <li>Collaborate with technical and business leads to translate business requirements into effective AWS and Snowflake solutions and implementations.</li> <li>Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to support data acquisition, solution design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.</li> <li>Design and implement data pipelines for batch, micro-batch, and real-time data streams, utilizing AWS services like Kinesis or MSK, and ensuring seamless integration with Snowflake.</li> <li>Ensure data quality by implementing data quality rules and test cases.</li> <li>Work closely with the AWS Security Team to ensure datastores and Snowflake environments are protected and adhere to compliance standards.</li> <li>Liaise with clients to gather requirements and ensure successful project completion.</li> <li>Conduct client workshops to identify data sources, flows, and requirements, as well as shape their future data strategy through future state architectures, roadmaps, and implementation plans.</li> <li>Develop logical data models and schemas for various business domains and industries, optimizing for Snowflake's architecture.</li> <li>Demonstrate expertise in data modeling, database design, AWS cloud architecture, and Snowflake data infrastructure management.</li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications:</h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, or data infrastructure.</li> <li>3+ years of experience working with AWS.</li> <li>Experience with AWS managed data services.</li> <li>Experience with relational databases, legacy database/application migration, and extensive experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse platform.</li> <li>Proven ability to develop logical data models, ETL/ELT processes, and related documentation.</li> <li>Mastery of data modeling concepts, large-scale database implementations, and design patterns.</li> <li>Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Hands on experience with Python, GIT</li> <li>Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)</li> <li>Experience with Deploying a Data Governance Program is a plus.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>66degrees is an Equal Opportunity employer.
