Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in data center facility systems and equipment.
Manage the up-time and maintenance of UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems.
Prepare and execute operation procedures, respond to work request/service failure and provide operational and technical expertise in required areas.
Coordinate vendor support in repairs/replacement and support project implementation (site acceptance tests, factory acceptance tests, site inspection for defects, etc.).
Ensure continuous improvement on site Water usage Effectiveness (WUE) and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), operational efficiency and to minimize environmental impact.
Minimum qualifications:
Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in maintenance of electrical distribution systems or construction/technical environments or a related field.
2 years of electrical experience (e.g., operations and maintenance of electrical distribution or testing, and commissioning) in facilities such as data centers, hospitals, pharma, semiconductor, refineries, power plants, or industrial environments.
Ability to work non-standard hours and work rotations/shifts.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of electrical systems (e.g., feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units).
Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment, the required use of safety equipment such as limited weight bearing work platforms, ladders, step stools and personal protective equipment like safety harnesses in accordance with safety and ergonomic guidelines and assessments.
