Lead DFx reviews and generate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reports during the concept readiness phase to identify and resolve red-flag features before design freeze.
Validate production readiness through Run-at-Rate Validation reports and line balancing charts to align Takt time with cycle time.
Execute vendor assessments and factory readiness gap analyses. Enforce process quality by reviewing process capability reports (Process Capability Index (Cpk) > 1.33), control plans, and Measurement Systems Analysis reports during the pilot phase.
Advocate risk management by leading PFMEAs with RPN reduction goals.
Conduct Pareto and Eight Disciplines (8D) root cause analyses to resolve manufacturing issues. Optimize factory logistics via process flow diagrams and material plans to streamline production line supply. Validate test strategies and fixture designs, ensuring formal approval and sign-off. Oversee Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementations to re-validate fixtures as required.
