About the Role:
We are looking for a Data Visualization & Dashboarding Specialist with expertise in Looker Studio and SQL to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop impactful dashboards and reports that transform complex datasets into actionable business insights. You will work closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using
Looker Studio
.
Write and optimize
SQL queries
in Google BigQuery to retrieve, aggregate, and transform data for reporting.
Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure accurate and efficient data sources.
Translate business requirements into insightful visualizations with clear storytelling and user experience.
Implement best practices in data visualization, dashboard design, and performance optimization.
Set up and manage custom filters, data blending, calculated fields, and dynamic visuals in Looker Studio.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all reports and dashboards.
Support stakeholders with ad hoc reporting needs and promote a culture of self-service analytics.
Stay updated on new features in Looker Studio, BigQuery, and other relevant tools and platforms.
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in
data visualization, BI, or reporting roles
.
Proficiency in
SQL
with experience querying large datasets.
Hands-on experience in
Looker Studio
, including advanced charting and calculated fields.
Strong understanding of
data modeling
concepts for reporting and visualization.
Familiarity with
BigQuery
or similar cloud-based data warehouses.
Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
, and how to use GA4 as data sources in reporting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a sharp eye for detail and design.
Strong communication skills with the ability to gather and understand business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
and its data services.
Experience working with
ETL tools
or data transformation pipelines.
Familiarity with other BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Basic knowledge of scripting (e.g., Python) for automation or data manipulation.
