About this role

About This Role We are looking for a highly driven and analytically sharp Corporate Development & Corporate Finance Professional to work at the heart of our financial and strategic operations. This role sits within the Corporate Development and Finance team and reports directly to the AVP – Corporate Strategy, with close collaboration with the founding team. You will play a pivotal role in driving M&A transactions, managing investor relations, overseeing MIS and P&L reporting, evaluating investments, and supporting IPO readiness. This role is best suited for someone with deep finance and accounting fundamentals, exceptional Excel and data analytics skills, and the ability to operate confidently in high-stakes, senior stakeholder environments. What You’ll Do: Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Lead and support end-to-end M&A transactions including deal origination, due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring Prepare and review transaction documents, financial models, and investment memos Coordinate with legal, finance, and business teams to ensure seamless deal execution Track post-merger integration milestones and report on deal outcomes Investor Relations Manage investor communications and participate in fundraising activities Develop and maintain pitch decks, business updates, and performance narratives Manage end-to-end investor relations workflows including outreach, data room management, and follow-through Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective investors MIS & Reporting Own and manage the Management Information System (MIS) to ensure accurate and timely reporting Prepare periodic financial and operational reports for leadership and board review Design and maintain dashboards that track key business and financial metrics Support timely updates for internal and external stakeholders through structured reporting P&L Management Monitor and analyse P&L performance across business units Identify variances, flag risks, and recommend corrective actions Partner with business heads to drive P&L accountability and cost efficiency Investments Evaluate strategic investment opportunities through rigorous financial analysis and due diligence Build and maintain financial models to assess ROI, IRR, and risk-return profiles Prepare investment recommendations and present findings to the leadership team IPO Readiness & Capital Markets Support IPO preparation activities including regulatory filings, financial disclosures, and investor roadshows Coordinate with bankers, legal counsel, and auditors through the IPO process Contribute to equity story development and communication materials for capital markets Strategic Planning Support preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and business performance analysis Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to drive strategic and financial initiatives Liaise with relevant teams to validate hypotheses and drive data-backed solutions Special Projects & Growth Initiatives (Performance-Based) Work on high-impact, ad-hoc strategic and financial initiatives directly with the founding team Take ownership of projects aimed at scaling processes and improving operational and financial efficiency What We’re Looking For: 3–6 years of experience in corporate development, corporate finance, investment banking, or related roles Mandatory background in one of the following: CA + MBA or CFA + MBA from a Tier-1 institution (IIM A/B/C/L/K/I, MDI-G, SPJain, IMT, FMS, XLRI, or IIFT) Front-end consulting at Big 4 (PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG), Oliver Wyman, or Booz Allen Hamilton Founder’s Office or Corporate Finance team at a Series A or later-stage B2B startup, working directly with the founder or CFO Bachelor’s from IIT, BITS, SRCC, St. Stephen’s, Xaviers, Presidency, or equivalent Tier-1 institutions Strong academic performance throughout Extremely strong hands-on proficiency in Excel — financial modelling, scenario analysis, MIS dashboards, and complex data manipulation Strong data analytics capabilities — ability to derive actionable insights from large, multi-source datasets Deep and applied knowledge of finance and accounting fundamentals — P&L, balance sheet, cash flows, valuations, and capital structure Ability to analyse and interpret data across multiple business functions with a high degree of accuracy and rigour Nice to Have: Prior experience in the fintech, rewards, or loyalty industry is a strong plus Prior exposure to investor relations, fundraising support, or M&A transactions Experience contributing to AOP, LRP, or long-term strategic planning cycles Hands-on experience with IPO preparation or capital markets transactions Familiarity with scaling operations in a high-growth startup environment What Makes You a Strong Fit: You bring deep financial acumen and take strong ownership of your work You are extremely comfortable working with large datasets and building complex financial models in Excel You communicate clearly and confidently with both finance and non-finance stakeholders You thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and adapt quickly You are structured in your thinking, rigorous in your analysis, and detail-oriented in execution You follow through on commitments and drive initiatives to completion Why This Role Matters This role sits at the intersection of corporate development, finance, and strategic execution — directly influencing how the organisation grows, transacts, and makes high-stakes decisions.
