About the Role
You will work closely with our SEO team to provide content assets for our clients.
ChatGPT and other tools have profoundly impacted the content writer role.
As a result, the standard for content writing is much higher now. We encourage you to use ChatGPT as an enabler and edit and improve on the content that they provide. Our teams run an AI check to see the percentage of the content written by AI - so don’t feel like you can outsource the entire job to AI 😝. You will primarily work with the SEO Team. Your deep understanding of SEO and Digital Marketing is essential to this role. This role is also not one where you are assigned a task and then disappear while researching and writing that topic. You must ensure you are aligned with the SEO Analyst on the project, your peers, and the Lead Content Writer.
Responsibilities
Build subject matter expertise in the client’s market and business to write relevant articles.
Work with SEO Analysts to define the content calendar
Create Blogs for the client’s website and backlinking purposes ✍️
Create other digital assets such as infographics, Slideshare, press releases, and additional info.
Writing blogs that add value to the reader and that they want to share actively.
Conduct peer reviews of other team members within the content team.
Clear and direct communication with the SEO Analyst to ensure you have all the information you need to excel at your role.
Ensure deadlines are met. If you face any blockers, communicate where you need help and the revised timeline to the SEO Analyst and the Lead Content Writer. 🤝🏻
While this is a remote position, quarterly or bi-annual get-togethers and in-person work sessions will be mandatory. Each off-site may be for 3 to 7 days; your presence is mandated.
Desired Experience
Deep understanding of SEO and Digital Marketing
A degree in mass communication or literature
Experience working at a premier digital marketing agency
Technical Skills
Expertise in using project management tools such as Basecamp, Google Docs, and other tools to communicate and work effectively in a remote environment.
Experience with keywords software such as SEMRush and Ahrefs is preferred.
Soft Skills
