Strategic Design - Consultant, Strategy, Growth, and Transformation
Position Summary
We are seeking a Strategic Designer who brings a strong blend of human-centered design, business strategy, and experience thinking to shape growth opportunities for clients. This role will be focused on bridging business ambition with experience design, customer insight, service, and execution-ready direction. The ideal candidate will help frame complex problems, uncover unmet needs, and translate research and market signals into clear strategic recommendations, future-state experience visions, and roadmaps. They should be comfortable working across strategy, UX, UI, product, and service design contexts to define solutions that are desirable, feasible, and viable.
As a Strategic Design Consultant, you will be integral to our multidisciplinary team. You will use your broad design expertise to guide the conception, prototyping, and launch of solutions to our clients’ most complex challenges. The team
Customer Strategy and Design (CS&D), as part of the Customer & Marketing portfolio, helps companies address the entire range of top management challenges, including pursuing new growth opportunities, customer engagement and service strategies, channel strategies, pricing strategies, as well as marketing and sales strategies and efficiencies.
With extensive industry relationships and insights, we assist clients in identifying opportunities to optimize resources and maximize value across the entire customer journey, spanning various channels, customer segments, and experiences. Through testing and learning, we determine the most valuable path, whether it involves launching a new business, pricing a service, targeting a different customer group, or exploring a new channel. We aid clients in defining their future customer operating model, encompassing roles, processes, structures, and technology platforms, all aimed at generating business value. Our work positions us at the forefront of numerous complex and unique C&M deals, bringing a business value perspective to all aspects of C&M operations.

Work you'll do
As a Consultant, Strategic Design on the Innovation & Product Strategy team, you will be responsible for…
Collaborating with clients to understand their strategic objectives, business goals, customer needs, and experience challenges, and synthesizing research, market signals, competitive insights, and business inputs into clear strategic stories and actionable design directions
Framing opportunities and shaping experience, service, and product concepts that respond to human needs while aligning to business priorities
Developing future-state journeys, service blueprints, personas, concept narratives, and low- to mid-fidelity prototypes to communicate recommendations effectively
Contributing to business cases, roadmap creation, and prioritization decisions, and supporting the translation of strategy into execution by defining requirements, experience principles, and design considerations for downstream UX/UI and product teams
Leading or supporting workshops, co-creation sessions, brainstorming sessions, and design sprints, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, product, marketing, and operations
Staying updated on advancements in design strategy, user experience, service design, UI/UX practices, and innovation methodologies, and integrating AI capabilities into experience and service strategy by identifying high-value use cases, shaping AI-enabled journeys, and defining design guardrails for trust, transparency, and adoption
Qualifications
Required:
Master’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or Design Strategy
3–7 years of experience as a strategic design consultant, innovation strategist, UX strategist, service designer, or similar role
Experience conducting market research, customer research, competitive analysis, and trend identification
Experience in product management, product design, UX design, UI thinking, persona development, journey mapping, concept testing, product strategy, and service design
Understanding of how technological capabilities and adjacent innovations can drive new value and open fresh opportunities in the near term
Working knowledge of artificial intelligence, Generative AI, and intelligent product ecosystems
Experience incorporating AI into design strategy, research synthesis, concept development, or UX/UI workflows
Preferred:
Knowledge of design thinking methodologies and their application in business contexts
Experience using Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and InVision
Familiarity with front-end development and testing techniques
Experience with Gemini, Claude, Figma Make, Miro, Dovetail, and NotebookLM
Experience facilitating workshops and co-creation sessions
Experience contributing to business case development, roadmap creation, and opportunity prioritization
