We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Commis I Tandoor to join our culinary team in Gurugram, India. In this entry-level kitchen position, you will work under the guidance of experienced chefs to prepare authentic tandoori dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. Prepare tandoori dishes according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring proper temperature control and consistent cooking results
Perform mise en place duties at the tandoor station, organizing and preparing all necessary ingredients and equipment
Assist senior chefs with food preparation, cooking, and plating of tandoori specialties
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
Support the overall kitchen operations to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours
Clean and sanitize the tandoor station, cooking equipment, and work surfaces according to organizational standards
Collaborate with kitchen team members to meet service demands and maintain quality consistency
Follow all food safety regulations and organizational procedures
Basic knowledge of tandoori cooking techniques and Indian cuisine
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred: Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary setting
