Prepare and organize your assigned workstation and mise en place according to daily requirements and stock lists
Assist the Chef de Partie in executing daily kitchen operations and food preparation tasks
Prepare dishes according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
Monitor food quality, portion control, and plating presentation before dishes are handed to the pass
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in your assigned kitchen areas and equipment
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure seamless service delivery
Follow all ordering procedures and ensure orders are processed through the appropriate channels
Demonstrate exceptional teamwork by supporting and assisting co-workers as needed
Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and food safety protocols
Report to duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times
Maintain knowledge of daily specials, promotions, and menu offerings, including recipes and ingredients
Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support kitchen operations
Ensure a complete and thorough handover to the responsible supervisor at the end of your shift
Bachelor's degree or diploma/certification in Culinary Arts (required)
Proven work experience as a Commis or kitchen staff member in a star hotel or relevant hospitality establishment (must-have)
Creative mindset with genuine passion for food preparation and culinary excellence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent attention to detail in food preparation, plating, and presentation
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
Proficiency in basic knife skills and food preparation techniques
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
Basic to intermediate English communication skills
First aid knowledge (preferred)
Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures
