About Heartfulness Institute
Heartfulness Institute is a globally recognized non-profit organization focused on holistic well-being, environmental sustainability, and social development. Operating in over 160 countries with a strong volunteer base and institutional partnerships, the organization implements large-scale programs across education, ecology, and community transformation.
Its environmental arm, Forest by Heartfulness (FBH), specializes in large-scale ecological restoration and nature-based climate solutions, including plantation, water conservation, and biodiversity enhancement. The organization has implemented projects across thousands of acres and multiple states, contributing to long-term climate resilience and sustainability.
About the Net Zero Project
The Net Zero Schools Initiative, undertaken in partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, aims to transform schools into sustainable and climate-resilient campuses through integrated interventions in renewable energy, water conservation, waste management, and ecological restoration.
The project follows a centralized planning and monitoring framework with decentralized district-level execution, enabling scalability, consistency, and effective on-ground implementation across schools.
By combining infrastructure upgrades with capacity building, behavioural change initiatives, and data-driven monitoring systems, the project seeks to establish a replicable model for sustainable school transformation that can be scaled across the state and beyond.
