Overview
This role is responsible for designing, automating, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that directly enables business growth and operational reliability. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in AWS, infrastructure-as-code, and Linux systems, along with a mindset focused on automation, resilience, and continuous improvement. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating across time zones, working asynchronously when needed, and supporting platforms used by a global customer base.
Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implementation, and support for infrastructure as code
using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
Plan, deploy, and maintain AWS
cloud infrastructure aligned to business objectives, performance, security, and availability requirements.
Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop optimal cloud based solutions (Design, Build, Deploy)
Maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of AWS infrastructure
Provide environmental analysis and recommend performant solutions
Continuous improvement of service delivery to internal and external customers
Evangelize process automation where at all possible
Create, maintain, and improve documentation for processes, architecture, or other infrastructure elements
Qualifications
Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience managing Linux/Unix systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu preferred)
3+ years’ experience managing AWS infrastructure
Advanced knowledge of AWS native tooling and architecture
Experience deploying cloud native networks and interconnecting with on-prem networks
Strong understanding of cloud networking and security
Granular experience deploying cloud native solutions
Skilled in development of least privilege IAM policies
Experience developing and applying cloud resource tags
Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
Strong scripting or coding experience
Demonstrated skills in decision making/judgement and initiative
High integrity, accountability, and a positive attitude
Team player with good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Optional Desired Qualifications
AWS certification
Global infrastructure support experience preferred
Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu preferred
Exposure to other facets of IT helpful
Knowledge of PCI/SOC1/SOC2 requirements and controls helpful
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
ITIL certification preferred
