PFB JD of Canada Customs Specialist
Job Description
• Reviewing Canada Customs import documentation, CCI/PL/BL/CCD and their meaning
• Some data entry required
• Ability to review documentation and note issues to reduce transactional errors
• Ensuring accuracy of information by following various databases
• Contact clients/carriers for missing documentation/information necessary for customs clearance
• Releasing shipments of all modes of transport, including truck(PARS & PAPS knowledge)
• Input HTS classification codes if necessary
• Complying with the rules of origin for Canada
Qualifications
• Eagerness to grow & learn
• Strong attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of CBSA(Canada Border Services Agency) rules & regulations an asset
• Proficient in English
• Diploma in Supply Chain or related customs program an asset
• CCS(Certified Customs Specialist) designation a bonus but not necessary as training will be provided
