About this role

About Aubergine Aubergine is a global transformation and innovation partner , shaping next-gen digital products through consulting-informed execution that integrates strategy, design, and development. Since 2013, we’ve built 400+ B2B and B2C products worldwide , turning powerful ideas into impact-driven experiences. We are one of the top global B2B companies on Clutch , rated highest among more than 80,000 technology service providers. With more than 150 digital thinkers , we are home to some of the brightest, most passionate people around the world who are committed to delivering excellence. We’re not just another workplace. We’re officially Great Place To Work® certified , with an exceptional trust index rating, making Aubergine a community where you can thrive and grow. About the role We are seeking a Business Development Manager (Inbound – Closer) to own and close qualified inbound opportunities for Aubergine.co across global markets (US, APAC). You will be the primary face of Aubergine for high‑intent leads: running discovery, navigating solutioning with internal teams, shaping value‑led proposals, and driving deals to closure. The ideal candidate combines polished, empathetic communication with a strong grasp of the end‑to‑end product lifecycle from UX research and design to engineering, QA, and launch. You will also be responsible for building long‑term, trust‑based relationships with clients, ensuring clean documentation, clear reporting, and continuous strategic alignment with internal stakeholders. This role suits someone who enjoys consultative selling, can translate complex product requirements into structured solutions, and can balance commercial outcomes with ethical, long‑term relationship building. What you’ll be doing Own the full sales closing cycle: qualification, outcome‑oriented discovery, solutioning, proposal, negotiation, contracts/renewals, and closure for design and development deals. Respond to inbound leads quickly (speed‑to‑lead) and ensure a premium, well‑orchestrated experience from first touch to decision, in partnership with Marketing and Ops. Run structured discovery with founders and product leaders to clarify problems, desired impact, and success metrics, not just feature lists and effort. Collaborate with strategy, UX, engineering, and QA to co‑create viable solution approaches, SOWs, estimates, team structures, and timelines that balance value, feasibility, and risk. Work closely with technical leaders to validate feasibility, surface trade‑offs, and bring them into key client conversations to help close complex deals. Independently manage proposals and commercial structures, coordinating legalities (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, DPAs, renewals) with internal stakeholders where required. Proactively manage objections, risks, and decision inertia; keep opportunities moving through the funnel and drive towards a clear yes/no by an agreed date, confidently asking for the business. Build and nurture long‑term client relationships, ensuring regular check‑ins and value‑add conversations that set up future partnership and expansion opportunities. Own your pipeline, numbers, and annual targets: track key inbound KPIs (speed‑to‑lead, discovery‑call conversion, proposal‑to‑win rate, ACV, target attainment) and design strategies to hit or exceed them. Use CRM (HubSpot) and modern sales/AI tools for research, personalization, documentation, and reporting, maintaining clean data and clear visibility for all stakeholders. Coordinate smooth, well‑documented handovers to delivery/account management so clients feel supported and expectations are aligned before kickoff. Act as the internal “voice of the customer”, feeding insights back into positioning, case studies, and offers with Marketing, Strategy, and Delivery. Take initiative to get more leads, warm them, qualify them, and convert beyond targets. What we look for 6–9 years in B2B business development / consultative sales for IT services, digital products, or design‑led companies, selling into global markets. Proven closer for warm deals (mid‑ to high‑ticket), with examples of complex, multi‑stakeholder wins. Strong understanding of the digital product lifecycle (discovery, UX/UI design, engineering, QA, launch) and awareness of key technology terms and concepts. Excellent written and spoken English; polished with international clients and confident with founders, VPs, and C‑level leaders. Outcome and impact‑driven mindset: connects Aubergine’s work to business results, not just deliverables. Owns their numbers and targets and actively tries to go beyond delegated targets. Hands-on with CRM (preferably HubSpot) and actively uses modern AI tools for research, personalization, reporting, and other possible avenues in the sales process. High ownership, responsiveness, and comfort working with distributed teams and async communication. Willing to work across global time zones from India. An MBA or equivalent is a plus. Must have skills Demonstrated success in closing inbound/warm B2B deals for digital product design and development services. Strong consultative selling and storytelling skills; able to anchor conversations in business outcomes, not just features or effort estimates. Solid grasp of UX, product, and core technology terminology and concepts, enough to converse credibly with designers, engineers, and product stakeholders. High ownership, responsiveness, and comfort working with distributed teams and async communication. Structured, organized approach to managing multiple opportunities, documentation, and stakeholders simultaneously.
