Role Overview:
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships, institutional collaborations, and revenue-generating opportunities for the Pro Chancellor’s Office. The role involves identifying new business avenues, managing stakeholder relationships, coordinating
cross-functional execution, and representing the university across government, corporate, and institutional ecosystems. The ideal candidate should possess strong networking, communication,negotiation, and business acquisition capabilities with a target -driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Partnership Management
Identify and develop new business opportunities with government departments, corporates,PSUs, NGOs, CSR partners, and international agencies
Generate qualified leads through market research, networking, referrals, and outreach initiatives
Manage the complete business development lifecycle from lead generation to proposal submission, negotiation, and closure
Develop partnership models for skilling programs, training mandates, CSR initiatives, and institutional collaborations
Prepare proposals, concept notes, presentations, and commercial models aligned with stakeholder requirements
Achieve defined targets related to partnerships, MoUs, and revenue generation
2. Strategic Coordination & Execution
Coordinate with academic, operations, finance, and project teams for proposal development and execution planning
Ensure timely submission of proposals, RFPs, presentations, and supporting documentation
Track and manage the deal pipeline, business opportunities, and forecasting reports
Maintain CRM systems and stakeholder databases for effective opportunity tracking
Support agreement finalization, approvals, documentation, and onboarding processes
3. Stakeholder & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior government officials, corporate leaders,institutional representatives, and strategic partners
Conduct regular follow-ups and engagement activities to strengthen partnerships and improve conversion rates
Manage professional communication including emails, MoUs, agreements, and official correspondence
Ensure long-term engagement and partnership continuity with existing stakeholders
4. Meetings, Representation & Field Engagement
Schedule and attend meetings with government bodies, corporates, institutions, and industrypartners
Represent the Pro Chancellor’s Office at conferences, networking forums, industry events, and official engagements
Deliver impactful presentations and business pitches to prospective partners
Accompany leadership for high-level meetings and strategic discussions, as required
Prepare Minutes of Meetings (MoMs), action trackers, and follow-up reports
Travel for partner meetings, field visits, and business development activities whenever required
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Institutional Sales, Government Liaisoning, or Partnership Management
Prior experience in education, skilling, CSR, consulting, or training sectors will be preferred
Strong business development and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Stakeholder management and networking capabilities
Proposal writing and documentation skills
Strategic thinking with execution-oriented approach
Ability to work closely with leadership teams
Strong coordination and multitasking skills
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and reporting systems
Willingness to travel extensively
