Role Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and process-oriented
Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst
to support and optimize procurement and buying operations. The role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze current processes, identify gaps, and recommend data-backed improvements that enhance efficiency, cost effectiveness, and operational transparency.
This position requires a strong blend of
business analysis, process optimization, stakeholder management, and data analysis
skills.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering & Analysis
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand buying requirements, business goals, and operational objectives.
Analyze existing procurement and buying processes to identify improvement opportunities.
Document business requirements, workflows, dependencies, and business rules within the procurement function.
Procurement Process Optimization
Analyze end-to-end procurement processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and operational risks.
Design and propose optimized workflows and process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and cost control.
Develop and maintain procurement documentation, including SOPs, process maps, and governance frameworks.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to identify trends, patterns, and cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and management review.
Define, track, and monitor procurement KPIs to measure performance and identify improvement areas.
Technology & Systems Support
Partner with IT and internal teams to evaluate and implement procurement technology solutions such as e-procurement tools and supplier portals.
Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide structured feedback on system enhancements.
Support business users in effective utilization of procurement systems and tools.
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Sales to align procurement activities with business strategy.
Act as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate procurement execution.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders by providing proactive insights and support.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (MBA, CBAP, Six Sigma, etc.) will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
1–6 years of experience for
Business Analyst
6–9 years of experience for
Senior Business Analyst
Prior experience in procurement, supply chain, buying operations, or process optimization roles is preferred.

Functional / Technical Skills
Strong understanding of procurement and buying processes
Business requirement documentation (BRD, FRD), process mapping, and SOP creation
Data analysis and reporting skills
Experience working with procurement systems, ERPs, or e-procurement platforms
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting dashboards
Behavioral / Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with strong documentation discipline
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
