Job Summary
The Business Analyst – HIS/EMR Implementation will support the analysis, documentation,
validation, and implementation of healthcare business requirements for hospital information
systems and electronic medical record solutions. The role involves working with users to understand
operational needs, documenting workflows, preparing requirement documents, supporting testing
activities, and assisting with go-live and stabilization. This role is suitable for candidates with
healthcare domain exposure and strong analytical and documentation skills who want to grow in
healthcare technology projects.
Key Responsibilities – Requirement Gathering Support
Assist in collecting business and functional requirements from hospital departments and end
users.
Document meeting notes, business needs, workflows, and pain points.
Support the preparation of BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and requirement matrices.
Ensure requirements are clearly documented, reviewed, and updated as needed.
Key Responsibilities – Process Documentation
Map as-is and to-be workflows for clinical and administrative processes.
Support process improvement initiatives linked to HIS/EMR implementation.
Maintain updated documentation for workflows, SOPs, forms, and business rules.
Coordinate with SMEs to verify process accuracy.
Key Responsibilities – Coordination with Stakeholders
Work closely with senior analysts, project managers, departmental users, IT teams, and vendors.
Follow up on pending inputs, requirement clarifications, approvals, and action items.
Support workshop scheduling, stakeholder communication, and issue tracking.
Help ensure alignment between business expectations and implementation progress.
Key Responsibilities – Testing Support
Prepare test cases and support execution of SIT and UAT.
Log defects, track resolution, and retest corrected issues.
Validate business scenarios and confirm system behavior against requirements.
Assist end users during testing cycles and issue reproduction.
Key Responsibilities – Data, Training, and Go-Live Support
Support master data collection, validation, and migration-related activities.
Assist in user training preparation and documentation.
Provide support during go-live, hypercare, and stabilization.
Help track user issues, enhancement requests, and adoption feedback.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, IT, Life Sciences, Health Informatics, or related field.
3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst, preferably in healthcare IT
projects.
Exposure to hospital workflows, HIS, EMR, or healthcare applications preferred.
Good understanding of requirement documentation and testing support processes.
Required Skills and Competencies

Basic knowledge of hospital operations and clinical workflows.

Preferred Experience
Experience in hospital implementation projects or healthcare operations.
Exposure to UAT, data migration support, and go-live activities.
Certification or training in business analysis is an advantage.
Knowledge of healthcare terminology and digital health systems preferred.
