Position Description -
We are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Engineer (Mechanical) with 3+ years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary modeling. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in BIM tools, coordination workflows, and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings, submittals, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage 3D BIM models for HVAC ducting, plumbing, and sanitary systems
Prepare coordinated models based on mechanical drawings and project requirements
Perform clash detection and assist in resolving coordination issues with other disciplines
Interpret and work from mechanical floor plans, submittals, and schedules
Create and modify parametric Revit families for mechanical components
Generate shop drawings and model-based deliverables
Maintain BIM standards and follow project-specific guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3+ years of experience in BIM modeling for mechanical systems
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP)
Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary systems
Experience in clash detection tools (Navisworks or similar)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, submittals, and schedules
Basic knowledge of coordination workflows in BIM projects
Experience in parametric family creation
Tools & Software:
Autodesk Revit (MEP)
Navisworks Manage / Navisworks Simulate
AutoCAD
BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (preferred)
Microsoft Excel (for schedules and quantity take-offs)
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to international BIM standards (LOD, ISO, etc.)
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
