Overview
e2E Rail is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing billing processes for railway engineering projects, including Signalling & Telecommunication, Over Head Equipment’s, track laying, station development, and infrastructure upgrades. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of railway construction practices.
Key Responsibilities
Site Measurement:
Regularly visit construction sites to collect the completed work details in each project.
Collect the certified documents
Preparation of Bills:
Based on the completed work they need to prepare the detailed abstract bill (Include proper item descriptions, unit rates, and calculations for total project).
Ensuring all the supporting documents.
Submitting the bills and getting it approved by the respective clients
Invoice Generation:
Prepare invoices based on measured quantities and BOQ.
Contract Compliance:
Review contract documents thoroughly to ensure all billing practices align with agreed-upon terms and conditions, including payment schedules and milestones.
Payment Reconciliation:
Coordination with the clients to reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding payments.
Reporting:
Prepare regular billing reports for project managers and stakeholders, highlighting project progress, payment status, and potential cost variations.
Required Skills
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of railway construction practices, including S&T (Signalling & Telecommunications), OHE (Over Head Equipment), track laying, and civil engineering principles.
Contract Interpretation:
Ability to accurately read and interpret complex construction contracts to ensure proper billing procedures.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical abilities to identify potential billing errors, discrepancies, and cost variations.
Communication Skills:
Effective communication skills to collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and the Head Office to resolve billing issues.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
Experience:
2 to 4 years in EPC/BOQ Railway projects with a Good Knowledge in Track, OHE, S&T
