Role Summary
The Counter boy is responsible for
maintaining bakery stock
,
delivering stock/items between kitchen, counter, and outlets
, and
handling billing and order entry on the POS system
.
This role ensures
smooth availability of products, accurate billing, and zero stock mismatch
.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stock Handling & Inventory Control
Maintain daily stock of bakery items, raw materials, and packaging.
Follow FIFO and proper storage practices.
Update opening and closing stock records.
Identify low stock and inform seniors for indenting.
Prevent stock loss, damage, or misplacement.
2. Internal Stock Delivery & Movement
Deliver bakery items from production area to counter/outlets safely.
Ensure correct quantity and quality during handover.
Maintain delivery log for internal stock movement.
Handle items carefully to avoid damage or breakage.
3. POS System Operations
Generate bills accurately on POS system.
Enter online and offline orders correctly.
Handle cash, UPI, and card transactions as per SOP.
Ensure zero billing errors and proper closing reports.
4. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with kitchen, counter staff, and managers.
Update team about stock availability and shortages.
Support online order dispatch when required.
5. Hygiene & Compliance
Maintain cleanliness in stock and delivery areas.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
Ensure correct labeling, date marking, and storage temperature.
