Backend Engineer

<p><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a passionate Backend Software Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining product features of our fast-growing, next-generation Identity Security Platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement robust and scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a high-impact startup while working on cutting-edge technologies in the rapidly evolving security space.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>You will:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for SaaS-based Identity Security Platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.</li> <li>Collaborate with product managers, other software engineers, UX Designers and security experts to build product features that meet business objectives and security standards.</li> <li>Develop and maintain the Access Request and Access Review features, new cutting-edge additions to our platform.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop and maintain identity lifecycle management features, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control policies.</li> <li>Implement logging, monitoring, and auditing capabilities to ensure visibility and compliance with regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Continuously optimize and improve the performance, security, and scalability of our platform through code reviews, testing, and refactoring.</li> <li>Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in identity and access management, and leverage them to drive innovation and improve our platform.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Proven 2+ years in backend software development, with a focus on identity and access management, security, or related areas.</li> <li>Strong proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages, such as Golang, Java.</li> <li>Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.</li> <li>Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, standards, and best practices.</li> <li>Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with IAM services and features.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Others:&nbsp;</strong></li> <ul> <li>Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li> </ul> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Our Culture&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>We’re driven to build a strong company culture and are looking for individuals with solid alignment with the following:</p> <ul> <li>Ownership Mindset</li> <li>Act with Integrity</li> <li>Guardians of our Customers</li> <li>Opinionated Humility</li> <li>Build Trust, Earn Trust</li> </ul> <p>At Veza, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills.
