What You’ll Do
● Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
● Develop secure and scalable REST APIs for fintech web and mobile apps.
● Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams to integrate backend systems.
● Work on data processing pipelines using PySpark for large-scale financial data analysis (good to have).
● Support Python-based backend or scripting tasks as needed.
● Experiment with or integrate generative AI models to enhance product features (chatbots, document processing, fraud detection, etc.) — a big plus. ● Ensure data security, encryption, and compliance with financial regulations.
● Optimize databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and implement reliable data models.
● Write tests, perform code reviews, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
Must-Have Skills
● 2-5 years of backend development experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
● Strong knowledge of REST API design and implementation.
● Experience with relational databases, SQL, and performance tuning.
● Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD, and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP).
● Understanding of security best practices in fintech (OAuth2, JWT, data encryption).
● Good communication and ability to work independently in a startup environment.
Good to Have
● Experience with Python for scripting or backend services.
● Hands-on with PySpark or big data processing frameworks for financial analytics.
● Knowledge of Generative AI models or NLP applications (transformers, GPT, BERT).
● Familiarity with messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
● Exposure to financial compliance standards (e.g, GDPR).
