Job Description
We are looking for a skilled AWS Application Developer to join our AWS Fleethub platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and business support of cloud‑native applications running on AWS.
You will work closely with the AWS Application Development Architect, DevSecOps engineers, and Cloud Architects to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure applications that support critical business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Maintenance
Design, develop, and maintain AWS‑based applications on the Fleethub platform
Maintain existing applications, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, refactoring, and performance improvements
Implement new features and enhancements based on business and product requirements
Ensure code quality, reusability, and test coverage, including unit testing
Cloud‑Native Implementation
Build applications using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, SQS/SNS
Develop scalable backend services and APIs
Support containerized workloads and serverless architectures Collaboration & Delivery
Collaboration & Delivery
Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate applications into CI/CD pipelines
Work with architects and technical leads on solution design and implementation
Work with global, cross‑functional teams
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
Operations & Support
Support production deployments and resolve application‑level incidents
Follow operational standards and contribute to runbooks and documentation
Required Skills & Experience
Hands‑on experience developing applications on AWS
Experience building RESTful APIs and event‑driven architectures
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing
Understanding of cloud security fundamentals and secure coding practices
Development experience with Python 3.X, Django 3.2.x, Django Rest Framework 3.14.x (edited), Celery, Flask, or Node.js
Good problem‑solving and communication skills
Preferred
Exposure to serverless architectures or container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with DevOps toolchains like Jira or equivalent
Familiarity with observability tools (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Datadog)
AWS certification (Associate level) is a plus
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
6–8 years of professional software development experience
