Job Summary
We are looking for an
Assistant Manager – Modern Trade
with strong FMCG experience to manage and grow Amruta Tea’s presence across
Modern Trade chains, supermarkets, and online platforms
. The role will focus on
key
account management, product onboarding, SKU planning, trade negotiations, visibility execution, and sales growth
across key Modern Trade partners.
The incumbent will be responsible for developing relationships with key accounts, ensuring availability and visibility, and driving secondary sales across assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities
A. Key Account Management
Manage Modern Trade accounts including national and regional retail chains
Handle online and e-commerce Modern Trade platforms
Build strong relationships with category buyers and store teams
Conduct regular business reviews with Modern Trade partners
Drive business expansion across new accounts and store additions
B. Product Listing & SKU Management
Onboard Amruta Tea products across Modern Trade platforms
Decide optimal SKU mix based on store format and customer demand
Manage new product launches in Modern Trade channels
Ensure product availability across listed outlets
Track listing compliance across stores
C. Commercial Negotiation & Trade Planning
Negotiate price lists, margins, trade schemes, and promotions
Finalize annual trading terms with key accounts
Plan visibility spends and promotional investments
Drive joint business planning with key accounts
Monitor ROI on trade schemes and promotions
D. Sales & Inventory Management
Track primary and secondary sales performance
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment
Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain for dispatch planning
Prevent stock-outs and manage aging inventory
Drive sales growth across assigned accounts
E. Visibility & In-Store Execution
Ensure strong product visibility and shelf placement
Execute in-store branding and promotional activities
Plan sampling and local marketing initiatives
Conduct store visits to monitor execution standards
Track competitor activity and shelf share
F. Market Expansion & B2B Development
Develop B2B relationships within Modern Trade ecosystem
Identify new store opportunities and regional chains
Expand presence across Mumbai and adjoining markets
Conduct meetings with corporate offices of Modern Trade partners
Drive distribution expansion within key accounts

Required Skills & Competencies
Strong experience in Modern Trade FMCG sales
Excellent negotiation and key account management skills
Strong understanding of trade margins and schemes
Experience in SKU planning and assortment management
Knowledge of stock planning and replenishment
Strong relationship management skills
Sales target driven with execution focus
Good analytical and reporting capability
Willingness to travel across Mumbai market
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Marketing preferred)
5–10 years of FMCG Modern Trade experience
Experience handling retail chains and supermarkets
Experience in Tea / Beverages / Packaged Foods preferred
Strong Excel and reporting skills required
