Substation Operations:
Support routine and breakdown maintenance activities for 66 kV substations.
Ensure substation equipment (breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, relays) are operating within defined parameters.
Assist in testing, commissioning, and protection coordination.
Maintain logs, SOPs, and compliance documentation for regulatory audits.
Transmission Line Maintenance:
Conduct patrolling and periodic inspections of 66 kV transmission lines.
Identify right-of-way issues, vegetation management needs, and tower integrity concerns.
Support shutdown planning and maintenance work execution.
Technical & Safety Compliance:
Adhere to statutory and internal safety protocols.
Participate in safety audits, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
Maintain equipment performance logs, testing records, and calibration data.
Team Coordination & Supervision:
Supervise contractors and field staff during routine operations and projects.
Liaise with load dispatch centers, control rooms, and engineering teams.
Ensure effective communication and coordination for planned and unplanned outages.
Project Support:
Assist in new substation or line installation projects (66 kV scope).
Participate in material verification, site readiness, and progress monitoring.
Report project status to management and flag risks or delays.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
6–7 years of relevant experience in 66 kV substation and transmission line O&M.
Working knowledge of protection systems, SCADA, and testing protocols.
Familiar with safety norms like IS/IEC standards, CEA regulations.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD basics, and power system software tools (ETAP/PSCAD – optional).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
