The Role
We're hiring someone to run our newsletter and CRM end-to-end. This isn't a support role — you'll own the editorial voice on AI and the systems that turn readers into loyal, engaged subscribers. We know what good looks like here, and we're looking for someone who can execute at that bar from day one.
What You'll Do
Ship a weekly newsletter on AI and emerging tech that people actually forward. Voice matters: clear, confident, opinionated — not a link dump, not a press release in disguise.
Curate with taste. Papers, launches, GitHub, X, industry reports — the job is knowing what to ignore.
Run the CRM (HubSpot / Salesforce / Zoho) properly. Clean data, tight segments, a model that makes sense six months from now.
Build lifecycle journeys that earn their place: welcome, onboarding, re-engagement, milestone triggers. No "just because" sends.
Treat every campaign as a test. Subject lines, timing, CTAs, layout — hypothesis first, then learn, then scale what works.
Guard deliverability like it's your reputation. Hygiene, suppression, GDPR / CAN-SPAM — non-negotiables.
Who This Is For
You read the AI space seriously. You can tell the difference between a real capability jump and a launch-week demo.
You write like a person. Strong point of view, no hedging, no filler.
You read a campaign report and know what to do next — not because you're a data scientist, but because you've actually thought about it.
You're organized. In CRM, the details are the work.
You ship. We'd rather see one real thing you've built than five polished slides about it.
What You Need
2 - 4 yrs in email marketing, CRM, newsletters, or content. Internships and personal projects count — sometimes more.
Hands-on with at least one CRM and one ESP (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Substack, Beehiiv, SendGrid, Klaviyo, or similar).
Strong written English. A link beats a bullet point every time.
Working understanding of open rate, CTR, deliverability, and segmentation — not just definitions, but what they imply.
Bonus
You already run a newsletter or blog, especially on tech or AI.
Basic HTML/CSS, MJML, or Figma.
Zapier / GA4 / Mixpanel experience.
Native fluency with ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity as part of how you work — not as a novelty.
What We Offer
Real ownership from day one. Not a coordinator seat.
A front-row view of AI, and the time to actually go deep.
Direct mentorship from people who've built and scaled content and CRM programs before.
Clear path into senior content, CRM, or growth roles.
A small team with strong opinions and a high bar for craft.
