Associate Director, Solution Architect – Global Sourcing & Procurement

Role Overview
The Senior Solution Architect (R4) is a global architecture leader and design authority responsible for defining, governing, and evolving end to end solutions across Procurement, Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Intelligent Spend domains.
This role spans SAP and non-SAP platforms, advanced AI driven and agentic solutions, and enterprise integrations, shaping technology strategy, roadmaps, and architectural standards for global adoption.
Operating with significant autonomy, the role influences platform strategy, investment priorities, and innovation adoption, while enabling scalable, secure, and intelligent business outcomes.
What will you do in this role:
Enterprise Solution Architecture & Design Authority (Scope)
Serve as the
primary design authority
for global sourcing, Procurement and Supplier Management solutions, accountable for architectural decisions across programs and releases.
Define and govern
enterprise architecture standards, principles, and patterns
, ensuring consistency across regions, products, and delivery teams.
Lead architecture reviews and approve designs covering
process, integration, data, security, and deployment
layers.
Own architectural trade‑off decisions balancing
business value, technical sustainability, risk, and cost
.
SAP Intelligent Spend Management – Global Design Leadership
Lead solution architecture across
SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP MDG and non-SAP Solution capabilities
at enterprise scale.
Architect end‑to‑end solutions for
Source‑to‑Contract, Procure‑to‑Pay, Supplier Lifecycle & Risk Management, Contingent Workforce
, and
Master Data
.
Guide global implementations and transformations, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices and enterprise governance.
Influence SAP platform adoption and roadmap alignment in partnership with Enterprise Architecture and Product teams.
Lead architecture for
AI‑enabled and agentic solutions
across Sourcing and Procurement domains, partner with Data, AI, and Digital teams to embed responsible AI capabilities into sourcing, procurement, and supplier workflows.
Cross‑Functional & Global Collaboration
Act as a senior architecture partner to
Business Process Owners, Product Managers, Engineering Leads, Integration Architects, Security, and Data teams.
Drive architectural alignment across
globally distributed teams and vendors
, particularly within the Hyderabad delivery ecosystem.
Influence senior stakeholders through clear communication, architectural storytelling, and data‑driven recommendations.
Architecture Artifacts, Workshops & Governance
Lead and facilitate
executive‑level and working‑level workshops
for requirements, solution design, and architecture validation.
Produce and govern architecture artifacts including
architecture flows, system context diagrams, integration views, and deployment models
using
Visio
and
enterprise architecture tools
.
Ensure architecture documentation is complete, current, and consumable across delivery and operations teams.
Technology Strategy & Roadmaps (Accountability)
Define and contribute to
multi‑year technology strategies and capability roadmaps
for Procurement and Supplier Management platforms.
Identify opportunities to
simplify landscapes, reduce technical debt, modernize integrations
, and improve scalability and resilience.
Evaluate emerging technologies and SAP roadmap items, translating them into actionable architectural direction.
Leadership, Mentorship & Organizational Impact
Mentor and guide
Junior Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and software engineers
, raising overall architecture maturity within HTC.
Establish architecture best practices and reusable patterns to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
Act as a role model for
collaboration, accountability, and architectural excellence
within global delivery teams.
What should you have:
Required Experience
15+ years
of experience in
Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Large‑Scale Global IT Delivery
.
Demonstrated success as a
senior design authority
on complex, multi‑region programs.
Deep, hands‑on architecture experience with
SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and SAP MDG
.
Strong background in
integration architecture, data flows, and cross‑system orchestration
.
Experience working in
matrixed, global organizations
with distributed teams.
Certifications (Required / Strongly Preferred)
SAP Ariba Certified
SAP Fieldglass Certified
SAP S/4HANA Certified
Certified Solution Architect
(Enterprise / Platform / Equivalent)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology
