We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Director - MEP to join our engineering team in Bengaluru, India. In this leadership role, you will oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
Lead and mentor a team of MEP engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines and budgets
Develop and implement innovative MEP design strategies that optimize energy efficiency and sustainability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and construction managers, to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems
Oversee the preparation of detailed MEP drawings, specifications, and calculations using advanced software tools
Conduct regular project reviews and quality assurance checks to maintain design excellence
Manage client relationships and communicate complex technical information to stakeholders effectively
Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices
Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal preparation and client presentations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the MEP department to enhance efficiency and innovation
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) license required; LEED AP certification is a plus
10+ years of experience in MEP engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Proven track record in managing large-scale commercial or industrial projects
Expert knowledge of MEP systems design, integration, and sustainable design practices
Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, AutoCAD, and energy modeling tools
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
In-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make decisive engineering decisions
Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
