Position Summary
The AD - Integrated Copywriter is a leadership position responsible for developing and overseeing the creation of strategic, high-impact copy across multiple platforms for integrated campaigns. This role requires exceptional writing skills, a deep understanding of brand strategy, and the ability to craft persuasive, engaging, and conceptually strong messaging that resonates with target audiences. The Senior Integrated Copywriter will play a key role in driving the creative direction of campaigns, collaborating with art directors, designers, and clients to ensure that all content aligns with brand goals and enhances the overall campaign narrative. This is a highly collaborative role, with a focus on both creative excellence and strategic innovation.
Responsibilities
Creative Concept Development
· Lead the conceptualization and development of integrated creative concepts for multi-channel campaigns, ensuring that copy aligns with overall brand strategy and campaign objectives.
· Develop compelling and innovative messaging for digital, social, print, and broadcast platforms.
· Craft persuasive taglines, headlines, body copy, email copy, video scripts, and social media content that speaks directly to the audience’s needs and emotions.
· Work with the creative team to ensure that copy integrates seamlessly with visual elements to create a cohesive brand experience.
Strategic Thinking & Brand Messaging
· Lead the development of messaging frameworks and copy strategies that effectively communicate the brand’s voice, values, and positioning.
· Collaborate with clients and account teams to ensure that copy aligns with business goals and drives engagement, awareness, and conversions.
· Provide strategic input during the initial phases of creative briefs and brainstorms, ensuring that all content meets campaign objectives and delivers on key messaging.
· Conduct in-depth research to understand audience insights, industry trends, and competitors, applying this knowledge to create standout messaging that elevates campaigns.
Content Leadership & Mentorship
· Mentor and provide creative leadership to junior and mid-level copywriters, offering constructive feedback and guidance to enhance their craft.
· Oversee and guide the development of content from inception to completion, ensuring all copy is polished, on-brand, and delivered on time.
· Lead internal creative sessions, presenting ideas and concepts with clarity and enthusiasm, and advocating for strategic creative solutions.
Client Collaboration & Presentation
· Work closely with clients to understand their brand needs, objectives, and expectations, ensuring that creative concepts align with client vision and deliver impactful results.
· Present creative concepts and final deliverables to clients, articulating the rationale behind the messaging and how it aligns with their goals.
· Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and positive, solution-driven collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Content Optimization & Digital Integration
· Adapt copy to work across different platforms, ensuring that messaging is effective for various digital formats, including websites, landing pages, social media, email, and paid digital ads.
· Ensure that digital content is optimized for search engines (SEO), improving organic visibility while maintaining high-quality, engaging copy.
· Collaborate with SEO, digital, and social teams to refine and adapt copy that performs well across digital channels, with a focus on engagement and conversion.
Quality Control & Brand Consistency
· Review all copy for consistency, accuracy, grammar, and tone of voice, ensuring the brand’s messaging is always on point.
· Maintain brand consistency across all copy and campaigns, adhering to established style guidelines and voice parameters.
· Oversee the quality of deliverables, ensuring that all content meets client expectations, is error-free, and is aligned with creative direction.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
· Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations in copywriting, digital marketing, and advertising, ensuring that your copy reflects the latest best practices and creative strategies.
· Bring fresh, innovative ideas to campaigns, pushing the boundaries of conventional messaging to create memorable and impactful content.
· Contribute to the development of new strategies, concepts, and creative solutions that elevate the agency’s creative output.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Skills
· Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio showcasing a wide range of creative copy across multiple platforms.
· Deep understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and how to create copy that supports both brand storytelling and direct response goals.
· Ability to develop strong, creative concepts from scratch and transform them into actionable, compelling content.
· Experience in crafting copy for diverse media formats, including print, digital, video scripts, social media, and email.
· Strong experience with SEO principles, keyword optimization, and digital content strategies.
· Ability to understand and apply consumer insights to craft messaging that resonates and drives engagement.
· Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (art, digital, strategy, and account management) to develop integrated creative solutions.
· Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding junior team members.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and defend creative concepts to clients.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
· 9-12 years of experience in copywriting, advertising, or a related field, with a diverse portfolio that demonstrates creativity and strategic thinking.
· A Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
· Experience working in an advertising agency, creative team, or in-house marketing department with a focus on integrated campaigns.
· Demonstrated experience in creating content for both traditional and digital channels, with a focus on conversion and engagement.
· Familiarity with social media trends, digital advertising, and content marketing strategies.
· Experience with mentoring junior creatives and leading content teams is highly preferred.
