About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Category Manager to drive growth and performance for the On-Demand vertical. This role goes beyond business development — it requires ownership of category expansion, partner performance, pricing optimization, operations management, and data-driven decision-making.
You will be responsible for growing the supply side (workspace partners), optimizing revenue performance, ensuring operational excellence, and working cross-functionally to scale the category.
This is a high-impact role with visibility across leadership and core business teams.
Key Responsibilities
Category Growth & Supply Expansion
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new workspace partners in Bangalore and other target markets.
Build and execute city/category growth plans.
Identify supply gaps and expand inventory strategically.
Ensure healthy coverage across micro-markets and demand clusters.
Partner Management & Revenue Optimization
Act as the single point of contact for assigned partners.
Drive revenue growth through pricing optimization, inventory planning, and demand alignment.
Monitor partner performance metrics (utilization, revenue, conversion rates).
Identify underperforming accounts and implement corrective strategies.
Category Operations & Onboarding
Own end-to-end onboarding of new workspaces (commercial terms, pricing, documentation, content accuracy).
Ensure correct listing, pricing updates, and real-time availability across systems.
Resolve operational escalations and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
Data & Performance Analytics
Track and analyze key category metrics such as:
Revenue
Contribution margins
Utilization rates
Partner performance
Identify growth opportunities, revenue leakages, and operational inefficiencies.
Share structured insights and reports with internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales to align supply with demand trends.
Partner with Marketing for category campaigns and promotions.
Coordinate with Finance on invoicing and commercial reconciliations.
Collaborate with Tech for feature enhancements and system improvements.
Requirements
3–4 years of experience in Category Management, Business Development, Account Management, or Operations.
Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with data.
Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (data analysis, reporting, basic modelling).
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong ownership and execution ability.
Experience in real estate, coworking, hospitality, marketplaces, or aggregator businesses is preferred.
