We are seeking a talented individual to join our
Energy and Power
team at
Marsh Risk India - a Marsh business
. This role will be based in Mumbai
.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We are looking for a highly skilled Specialist with expertise in parametric insurance and reinsurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematical background, experience in reinsurance, and preferably exposure to the renewable energy sector.

We will count on you to:
Develop, structure, and manage parametric insurance products tailored to client needs.
Apply advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to model and price parametric insurance risks.
Collaborate with reinsurance partners to negotiate terms and optimize risk transfer solutions.
Build and maintain relationships with private equity firms, lenders, clients and other financial stakeholders.
Provide technical expertise and advisory support on parametric insurance solutions to clients and internal teams.
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally and design collaborative plans for growth
Identify key decision makers, clients or prospects risks needs and determines the services, products, and combinations that will best serve and address the client/prospect’s issues and objectives.
Monitor market trends and regulatory developments in insurance, reinsurance, and renewable sectors.
Support business development initiatives targeting insurance and financial sectors.
Good knowledge of data modelling, data crunching & correlating data with climate data sites like NASA- MERRA, ERA 5, SOLARGIS etc
What you need to have:
Very strong mathematical and analytical skills are essential.
Experience in the insurance sector
Engagement skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
MBA/Engineer from a reputed B - School

Ability to cut across teams, business functions and hierarchy within the organization to ensure rapid business growth for the Industry Practice.
Ability to arrange and hold detailed conversations with CXOs and understand their latent requirements to further build strategic relations & partnerships.
Ability to independently initiate and manage end to end client acquisition cycle.
