For more information, visit https://msu.edu.in/wise/ Role Overview: The Faculty – Hotel Management (Room Division) is responsible for delivering high-quality academic and practical training to students enrolled in the Hospitality and Hotel Management (HHM) Programme. The role focuses on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), integrating theoretical concepts with practical exposure in Front Office and Housekeeping operations. The faculty member will play a key role in developing student competencies in guest service, operations management, and hospitality standards while ensuring alignment with industry requirements. The role also includes mentoring students, coordinating with industry partners, and enhancing employability and placement readiness. Key Responsibilities: 1. Teaching, Session Planning & Assessment Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Front Office Operations and Housekeeping Management. Plan and execute sessions aligned with syllabus and OBE framework. Schedule classes through LMS as per academic calendar. Conduct assessments and evaluations as per policies. Use digital tools, role plays, and case studies. Conduct sessions at institute and industry locations. 2. Practical Training & Lab Management Manage Front Office and Housekeeping Labs. Demonstrate check-in/check-out, reservations, and complaint handling. Train in room cleaning, linen management, and SOPs. Ensure hygiene and safety standards. Facilitate hands-on simulations. 3. Student Mentorship & Development Provide academic and career mentoring. Monitor student progress. Support OJL, internships, and industry exposure. Train in grooming and communication. Prepare students for placements. 4. Industry Coordination & Engagement Coordinate with hotel partners. Maintain relationships for internships and placements. Align teaching with industry standards. Stay updated with hospitality trends. 5. Academic Development & Administration Develop curriculum and content. Participate in meetings and planning. Maintain records and attendance. Organize workshops and visits. Support audits and FDPs. Qualifications & Skills Required: Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field. 8–10 years of experience in hospitality industry (Front Office/Housekeeping). Teaching experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Front Office and Housekeeping. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to deliver practical and theoretical training. Proficiency in LMS and digital tools. Strong coordination and networking skills. Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory.
