Role Overview:
The Faculty – Hotel Management (F&B Service & Production) is responsible for delivering high-quality academic and practical training to students enrolled in the Hospitality & Hotel Management (HHM) Programme. The role involves effective curriculum delivery aligned with Outcome-Based
Education (OBE), integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical exposure.The faculty member will focus on student competency development, industry-relevant skill building, and experiential learning while ensuring adherence to academic standards and institutional guidelines. The role also includes student mentoring, industry coordination, and active contribution to enhancing student employability and placement readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching, Session Planning & Assessment
Deliver lectures and practical sessions in core hospitality subjects such as Food Production and Food & Beverage Service.
Prepare and deliver sessions as per syllabus, OBE framework, and academic guidelines.
Plan and schedule classes on LMS aligned with academic calendar.
Conduct examinations and evaluations as per policies.
Use digital tools, case studies, and demonstrations to enhance learning.
Conduct sessions at institute and industry locations.
2. Practical Training & Lab Management
Manage Training Kitchens and F&B Service Labs.
Ensure hygiene, safety, SOPs, and HACCP practices.
Demonstrate culinary techniques, menu planning, and service standards.
Facilitate hands-on learning and simulations.
3. Student Mentorship & Development
Provide academic guidance and career mentorship.
Monitor student performance through assessments.
Support OJL, internships, and industry projects.
Train students in grooming, communication, and etiquette.
Prepare students for placements and interviews.
4. Industry Coordination & Engagement
Coordinate with hotel partners for classes and exams.
Maintain relationships for internships and placements.
Align teaching with industry standards.
Update knowledge with latest hospitality trends.
5. Academic Development & Administration
Develop curriculum, content, and case studies.
Participate in meetings and academic planning.
Maintain attendance and academic records.
Organize workshops, seminars, and visits.
Support audits and quality processes.
Participate in FDPs and research activities.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
8–10 years in hospitality industry.
Teaching experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of F&B Service and Food Production.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to engage students practically and theoretically.
Proficiency in LMS and digital tools.
Strong coordination and networking skills.
Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory.
