Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage the company’s technology infrastructure, operations, and IT support services. The IT Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations, implementing strategic IT solutions, and leading the IT team to meet the organization’s business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Manage and lead a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, helpdesk staff, and other IT personnel.
- Provide training, mentoring, and performance evaluations for IT staff.
- Ensure that IT team members have the necessary resources and skills to deliver effective IT services.
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
- Manage the organization's hardware and software inventory, including licensing and maintenance contracts.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that the infrastructure is secure, scalable, and optimized.
IT Operations & Support:
- Ensure that all IT systems (e.g., networks, hardware, software) are functioning efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate IT support, responding to internal user requests for technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
- Develop and manage the Help Desk system for efficient issue tracking, support requests, and resolutions.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management:
- Develop and implement IT security policies to protect the organization’s data, networks, and systems.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Monitor network and system activity for potential security breaches and respond promptly to incidents.
- Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and implement measures to mitigate risks.
Vendor Management:
- Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, manage service-level agreements (SLAs), and ensure that vendors deliver services in accordance with agreed-upon terms.
- Evaluate new technologies and products from external vendors for compatibility with company needs.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure that all IT practices and systems comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, procedures, policies, and configurations.
- Prepare reports for upper management on IT performance, system uptime, and incident resolution.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage IT projects from planning through execution, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, scope, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
Experience:
- At least 7-9 years of experience in IT management or a related field, with a proven track record of managing IT teams and infrastructure.
- Experience in managing enterprise-level IT systems, network security, and IT projects.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Linux OS), networking protocols, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in system administration (Linux, Windows Server), database management, network architecture, and enterprise software.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and security technologies (VPNs, firewalls, encryption).
- Knowledge of ITIL framework, project management methodologies, and disaster recovery planning.
