Purpose of Position:
The IMS Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the
Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with relevant international standards
(ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
manufacturing facility. The role ensures compliance, drives continual improvement, and
fosters a culture of quality, environmental responsibility, and occupational health & safety
across all factory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IMS Implementation & Maintenance
Coordinate and support the implementation of the Integrated Management System
covering Quality, Environment, and Health & Safety standards (ISO 9001, ISO
14001, ISO 45001).
Develop and maintain IMS documentation: manuals, procedures, work instructions,
and records.
Ensure IMS integration into BESS production, assembly, testing, and logistics
processes.
Align factory practices & industry standards with IMS.
2. Compliance & Certification
Prepare the factory for ISO certification and surveillance audits. Also plan & conduct
internal audits.
Coordinate with certification bodies and auditors during internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with local regulations related to environmental management,
hazardous materials, and occupational safety.
3. Process Control & Continuous Improvement
Work with CFT - production, maintenance, engineering teams to identify non
conformities and improvement areas.
Facilitate root cause analysis and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive
actions (CAPA).
Support lean manufacturing and quality improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen,
FMEA).
4. Risk & Environmental Management
Conduct risk assessments and environmental aspect-impact evaluations for BESS
operations (battery handling, chemical management, waste disposal, etc.).
Support sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and
pollution prevention.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, environment, and safety.
5. Training & Awareness
Conduct IMS-related internal audits training and awareness programs for employees
and contractors.
Promote IMS policy, objectives, and continual improvement culture across
departments.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain IMS records and data in accordance with document control procedures.
Prepare and present IMS performance reports.
Support management review meetings and follow up on decisions and actions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, field.
7–10 years of experience in IMS coordination, preferably in manufacturing
(electronics, or battery industries).
In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Experience in BESS, lithium-ion battery manufacturing, or related industries
(preferred).
Trained internal auditor for QMS/EMS/OHSMS (desirable).
Key Skills:
Strong knowledge of integrated management systems and audit processes.

Proficiency in MS Office, documentation control systems, and data reporting tools.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence continuous improvement.

Employee IMS training completion and awareness levels.
Reduction in incidents, waste, or environmental impact metrics.
