Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Buyer (Procurement) to join our procurement team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient sourcing, strong supplier partnerships, and optimal inventory management to support high-growth B2B quick commerce operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong vendor connections, negotiation expertise, and experience in fast-paced retail or e-commerce environments.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Product Sourcing & Supplier Management:
• Source products based on demand planning and business requirements
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to build a strong vendor base
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure supply continuity
• Negotiate pricing, margins, credit terms, and delivery timelines
• Ensure high product availability and consistent supply
B. Inventory Management:
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted availability
• Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams for forecasting and replenishment
• Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid stock-outs and overstocking
• Improve inventory turnover and working capital efficiency
C. Category & Assortment Management:
• Manage and expand assortment across key categories including Oral Care, Hair Care, Skin Care, Cleaning Essentials, Personal Care, etc.
• Identify assortment gaps and onboard relevant brands/products
• Align category strategy with market demand and trends
D. Cost Control & Budget Management:
• Drive cost efficiency through strategic sourcing and negotiations
• Track market trends to identify pricing opportunities
• Use data-driven insights to optimize procurement decisions and reduce costs
E. Vendor Collaboration & Operations:
• Build long-term partnerships with brands and suppliers
• Ensure seamless supply to support quick commerce operations
• Work closely with category, warehouse, and logistics teams for execution
F. Documentation, Compliance & Collaboration:
• Maintain accurate procurement records (POs, contracts, invoices)
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with category, finance, and operations teams
• Support promotional planning and product launches with vendors
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, buying, or category management
• Strong vendor network across relevant categories
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or quick commerce preferred
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making ability
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement tools
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong ownership
