About Site:
Site Sayakha, a greenfield facility located in Sayakha, District Bharuch, Gujarat State, India, inaugurated in February 2024, is Perstorp’s latest state of the art production plant. This is the first major investment in India by Perstorp, and the site is spread out over approximately 28 acres of land. The plant produces Penta which has a vast range of application areas, being an essential building block for coatings, as well synthetic lubricants, and antioxidants. Our new plant solidifies and strengthens our long-term position and presence in the growth region of Asia. It also reinforces our ability to meet growing demand, particularly in Asian markets.

Reporting to:
EHSQ Head, Sayakha
Main Function:
To assist EHSQ head to comply with local and global Safety and Health compliances, program and requirements operational, maintenance, project modification stage. Follow the system developed to ensure compliances related to the GPCB, DISH, PESO, GIDC and other legal departments related to the all type of health and safety management.
Role:
The role is responsible to
• Act as the focal point for all site EHS activities and ensure compliance with safety, legal, ISO, and corporate HSEQ requirements.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and enforce Safe Work Permit (SWP) processes.
• Drive site safety culture through audits, inspections, meetings, walk-throughs, drills, and awareness programs.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and liaise with hospitals, fire stations, and external agencies.
• Implement corporate EHS standards, LSR/Careway assessments, and track EHS performance reporting.
• Facilitate risk assessments, process hazard analysis, incident learnings, and maintain risk registers.
• Support statutory approvals and manage regulatory documentation and compliance.
• Provide EHS leadership during project commissioning and transition from construction to operations.
• Develop HSE procedures, training, reporting systems, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
Required Knowledge base and experience:
• B.E in engineering with PDIS/ADIS from government approved institute
• A recognised qualification or working towards a recognised Health & Safety management qualification
• Sound Knowledge in Emergency Handling, legal compliances and process safety management
• At least 10+ years of experience in the chemical industry, preferably in a high process safety hazard manufacturing environment.
• Experience of inspections, auditing and co-ordinating Safety and Health of Chemical Industry.
• 80 % Health and safety and 20% Environment
• 60% Field and 40% office duty
• Able to run, climb and operate all emergency equipment’s
• Should know Gujarati, English and Hindi fluently in writing, speaking and readings
• Well verse with computer operating systems for coordination, meetings and communications.
