Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – Graphic Design will lead the development and execution of visual communication materials across Bala Vikasa’s programs, campaigns, training initiatives, and institutional outreach.
The role will be responsible for translating communication concepts into compelling visual designs that support storytelling, marketing communications, and brand positioning. Working closely with the Strategic Communications team and the Multimedia Production Studio, the Assistant Manager will ensure consistency in visual identity across all design outputs.
The role will also guide design workflows, support the development of creative assets for digital and print communication, and collaborate with video production and digital marketing teams to deliver integrated multimedia content.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of visual communication assets including brochures, program one-pagers, reports, presentations, posters, banners, and promotional materials.
Design marketing communication collaterals for Bala Vikasa’s programs, training initiatives, campaigns, and institutional outreach.
Translate communication concepts and narratives into visually compelling graphics that enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
Ensure that all design outputs adhere to Bala Vikasa’s brand guidelines, visual identity standards, and communication frameworks.
Develop and maintain design templates for recurring communication materials such as presentations, reports, and promotional assets.
Collaborate with the Strategic Communications team to design communication assets that support campaigns, knowledge products, and stakeholder engagement.
Work with video production and multimedia teams to develop graphic elements for video content including titles, infographics, and visual overlays.
Design visual assets for digital platforms including social media graphics, web visuals, and digital campaign materials.
Guide the design of visual materials for events, conferences, workshops, and institutional programs.
Maintain an organized repository of design templates, visual assets, and brand materials for internal use.
Ensure high quality and consistency across all graphic design outputs produced by the organization.
Identify opportunities to improve design processes, visual standards, and creative workflows within the multimedia production studio.
Candidate Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Design, or a related field.
4–7 years of experience in graphic design, visual communication, or creative design roles.
Demonstrated experience designing communication materials for campaigns, marketing, or institutional communications.
Experience working with development organizations, media teams, or creative studios is desirable.
