Associate Manager – Local Procurement (GCC India | Sourcing & Procurement Buyer) – B14
Role purpose
Enable GCC India’s local procurement execution by partnering closely with GCC stakeholders and onshore category teams to deliver timely, compliant sourcing outcomes, smooth PO/contract execution, and strong supplier performance.
Key responsibilities
Own end-to-end
local procurement
sourcing support for GCC India across assigned categories/projects, aligned to stakeholder urgency and committed timelines
Engage GCC stakeholders early to clarify scope, confirm priorities, and provide clear ETAs; proactively flag risks/blockers and close loops
Execute sourcing events and competitive buying using
RFI / RFP / RFQ / RFX
and
e-auctions
, including supplier identification, bid analysis, and negotiation support
Support PR-to-PO execution: ensure buying requests are complete, coordinate approvals, drive PO creation/updates, and ensure timely closure
Manage commercial documentation and
contract management
activities: support contract drafting inputs, manage renewals/amendments, maintain contracting repository/records, and ensure compliance to required templates/processes
Drive
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
for local suppliers: performance tracking, issue resolution, service level improvement, and risk mitigation
Partner with
Finance
and internal compliance stakeholders to ensure alignment on pricing, payment terms, taxes, approvals, and controls
Maintain strong understanding of
local procurement requirements and local laws/regulations
, ensuring sourcing and contracting decisions are compliant
Create and maintain clear trackers/status updates for stakeholders (pipeline, event status, PO status, contracts, pending actions)
Key skills and capabilities
Strong stakeholder management (GCC + onshore), responsive communication, and ability to manage urgency/prioritization
Hands-on experience with e-auctions and sourcing event execution (RFI/RFP/RFQ/RFX)
Strong SRM mindset: service quality, responsiveness, and supplier performance improvement
Good commercial and analytical skills: bid comparison, cost/benefit, negotiation levers, and scenario evaluation
Working knowledge of local laws/regulations and finance controls relevant to procurement and contracting
High ownership and reliability: clear documentation, proactive updates, and consistent follow-through
Experience & qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience in sourcing/procurement in a similar domain
Demonstrated experience running sourcing events and e-auctions end-to-end
Experience in PR/PO execution and contract management is required
Prior experience working in a GCC/shared-services model and with global stakeholders is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from reputed institute / university.

TAT for sourcing events and PR-to-PO execution vs committed ETAs
First-pass quality (minimal rework due to missing info/incorrect docs)
Stakeholder satisfaction (CSAT/NPS or internal pulse feedback)
Contract/PO compliance and audit readiness
Supplier performance improvements and faster issue closure
