JOB DESCRIPTION Section I: Basic Information on the Role Position Name Sr Mgr/AGM Electrical Function   Line of Business BESS (R &D) Grade   Reporting to Functionally Administratively     Roles Reporting into No. of employees Role Description   -   Section II: Job Summary Electrical R&D (BESS) will lead and manage the research and development of electrical systems and subsystems related to Battery Energy Storage Systems. The role includes overseeing technical teams, guiding innovation in power electronics, battery management systems (BMS), control algorithms, and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards. The Sr Mgr will collaborate cross-functionally to bring cutting-edge BESS solutions from concept to production. Section III: Do – Key Activities and responsibilities of the role Perspective Responsibility Job Responsibilities  Lead electrical R&D efforts for BESS, including inverter design, control systems, power conversion, and protection systems. Supervise development and validation of BMS and energy management systems. Direct prototype development, testing, and performance analysis. Stay abreast of advancements in electrical engineering, energy storage, and power electronics to drive innovation. Coordinate with product design, manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure design for manufacturability and reliability. Guide team in simulation, modeling, and hardware-in-loop testing of systems. Review and approve technical documentation, test plans, and design reports. Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (UL, IEC, IEEE, etc.). Manage R&D budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team.   Job Description Design and solutioning of lithium ion battery systems , knowledge of the factor for calculations and designing of battery pack , responsible for approvals of products , should have knowledge of standards requirement of lithium ion packs in system segment   Section IV: DELIVER – KEY OUTPUTS / RESULTS FROM THE ROLE Key Performance Indicators (KPI) What are the measurable indicators for the role? Measurable Deliverables   Candidate should have rich experience - 10 ~ 12 yrs in BESS , UPS products and must have experience in DOE and DVP of lithium ion products . Must had working in High voltage system and aware of certificates and regulations of products   Section V: DISPLAY – KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS In this section, please mention the qualification, technical skills and capabilities which are essential to execute the role. PhD in xyz   Qualifications     Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering   Technical Skills   MS Office & Project, Knowledge of SAP is preferred Experience levels required to execute this role E.g. 2-5 yrs of experience as an Electrical Engineering in Battery/Solar Grid Specific Experience 10 - 12 years in electric engineering in Battery/Automative. Over all Experience 10 - 12 years in electric engineering in Battery/Automative. Behavioral skills / competencies required for the role. E.g. Attention to detail   Behavioral Skills   Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
