Role Overview
NASSCOM Foundation seeks a committed and field-oriented professional for the role of Assistant Coordinator – Field Support. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation, monitoring, and coordination of project activities at the grassroots level. This role requires extensive field engagement to ensure quality delivery, stakeholder alignment, and timely reporting in accordance with program objectives.
The position will work closely with Implementation Partners, government stakeholders, and internal program teams to strengthen on-ground execution and contribute to the overall success of digital literacy and inclusion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation and Field Operations
Support and oversee day-to-day field implementation of project activities across assigned geographies
Conduct regular field visits (up to 70% travel) to monitor project progress, ensure adherence to implementation plans, and maintain quality standards
Work closely with Implementation Partners (IPs) to facilitate efficient execution of project deliverables
Stakeholder Coordination and Engagement
Coordinate with local stakeholders, including State, District, and Block-level government authorities, community leaders, and partner organizations
Support outreach, mobilization, and community engagement efforts to ensure effective beneficiary participation
Capacity Building and Training
Facilitate and deliver training sessions for master trainers and relevant field-level stakeholders
Ensure quality and consistency in training delivery and learning outcomes
Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation
Provide timely, accurate, and structured field updates, including progress reports and supporting documentation
Support data validation, verification, and maintenance of project-related records and MIS systems
Identify field-level risks, challenges, and gaps, and escalate them appropriately for resolution

Undertake field-level operational decisions in consultation with Implementation Partners
Provide inputs and recommendations to improve implementation strategies based on field insights
Seek prior approval from the NASSCOM Foundation Digital Literacy (DL) Team for decisions impacting project scope, timelines, or key deliverables
Effective and timely on-ground execution of project activities
Accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of field monitoring and reporting
Strength of stakeholder engagement and coordination at the local level
Achievement of field-level outputs in alignment with defined timelines and quality benchmarks
Quality assurance of training, outreach, and mobilization interventions
Qualifications and Experience
Postgraduate degree or equivalent in Rural Management, Development Studies, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field
4–5 years of relevant experience in field implementation, preferably within the development sector
Prior experience in digital literacy, digital inclusion, or allied domains will be an advantage
Demonstrated experience in working with diverse stakeholders, including government and community institutions
Strong coordination, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in dynamic and resource-constrained field environments
Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and work across multiple teams
Proficiency in reporting, documentation, and basic data management
Comfortable with technology, including the use of digital platforms, MIS tools, and social media
Ability to build and sustain credible relationships with stakeholders across the ecosystem
