For more information, visit https://msu.edu.in/wise/ Role Overview: The Assistant Controller of Examination (WISE) will support the Controller of Examination in planning, executing, and monitoring examination and assessment processes for work-integrated programs. The role ensures assessment integrity, regulatory compliance, timely result processing, and alignment of examinations with industry-embedded learning and apprenticeship frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Examination Planning & Execution Assist in planning and conducting examinations (internal, external, practical, project-based, and continuous assessments) for WISE programs. Coordinate scheduling of examinations in line with academic calendars, apprenticeship cycles and industry constraints. Support hybrid / online / workplace-based assessment models as applicable to WISE. Assessment & Evaluation Management Ensure implementation of approved evaluation schemes, credit frameworks, grading systems and moderation processes. Coordinate question paper setting, moderation, confidentiality, and secure handling of examination materials. Oversee practical, viva, project, and workplace assessment processes in collaboration with industry mentors and faculty. Results, Records & Certification Support timely evaluation, result compilation, verification, and declaration. Maintain student academic records, mark sheets, grade sheets, transcripts, and examination archives. Assist in issuance of certificates, provisional certificates, and verification responses. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure examination processes comply with UGC regulations, MSU statutes/ordinances, and WISE academic policies. Align assessment processes with Apprenticeship Act, NAPS & NATS requirements where applicable. Support internal/external audits, inspections, and compliance reporting related to examinations. Examination Systems & MIS Work with Examination Management Systems (EMS) / ERP for exam processing, evaluation and result management. Prepare MIS, dashboards, and reports for academic councils, statutory bodies, and leadership. Support process improvements, automation, and scalability of examination operations. Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate with Academic Teams, COE Office, IQAC, Industry Partners, Apprenticeship teams and Operations for smooth conduct of assessments. Address examination-related queries, grievances, revaluation requests, and corrections in a timely manner. Qualifications & Skills Required: Master’s degree in any discipline (Education / Management preferred). Knowledge of higher education assessment systems is essential. 5–8 years of experience in examination or academic administration roles in universities / higher education institutions. Exposure to work-integrated learning, skill-based education, or apprenticeship-linked programs preferred. Experience with digital / hybrid examination systems will be an advantage.
